Another view of the hole to be flushed42 viewsThe 2nd permanent cheek tooth is missing from the the upper right arcade of this horses mouth. The constant packing of food material into the space caused an eventual communication between the mouth and the nasal cavity. For the cavity to heal, the hole from the missing tooth needs to be plugged and cavity needs to be flushed from another source. Side to side radiograph view 32 viewsThe 2nd permanent cheek tooth is missing from the the upper right arcade of this horses mouth. The constant packing of food material into the space caused an eventual communication between the mouth and the nasal cavity. Using radiographs the location of the cavity was located and the skin was removed in preparation of a hole to be drill through the bone into the cavity. Wire was placed on the outside of the face to give an approximate location of the cavity. (Cavity is the black area to the right of the wire. Other black areas are sinuses.)
